Albertina Square borders the remains of the Augustinian Bastion (city fortifications) in the first District of Vienna just behind the Vienna Opera House. The Albertina Museum, the Vienna tourist information center, and the Memorial for the Victims of War and Fascism (by Alfred Hrdlicka, 1988) are located in Albertinaplatz.
