| Hofburg, Vienna’s Imperial Palace, was the residence of the Habsburgs until the Austro-Hungarian Empire ended in 1918. Today it is the seat of the Austrian president. The Imperial apartments can be visited, as well as the Sisi Museum, which is dedicated to the life of Austria's beloved Empress Elisabeth, who was assassinated in 1898. |
