Schönbrunn Palace
Being included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, this baroque palace was the main residence of the Habsburgs until the monarchy came to an end. Today the Austrian President receives Heads of State and other important guests in Schönbrunn Palace. The Palace has 1441 rooms but only 42 of them are open to the public, such as Round China Room, the Mirror Room, and the Napoleon Room. The Schönbrunn Palace got its name from the fountains "Schöner Brunnen" (beautiful fountain) in the gorgeous gardens of the Palace. Europe's largest greenhouse, the Palm House, and the Schönbrunn Zoo, founded in 1752, can also be found in this wonderful, expansive garden.
