German language exam:
The officially recognized German language exam is to be taken at the level of difficulty “Elementary level A2”. The exam is held in the “deutschinstitut.at – Weiterbildungsinstitut Wien” at the end of the whole German integration course package, after having finished course level A2/2 (A2/2 = second month of the elementary course level A2). Beginners will have to attend regularly German courses A1/1, A1/2, A1/3, A2/1, A2/2 (= 5-month German Integration course package ) and successfully complete them before they can take this exam.
Immigrants who already have some German language skills can start their German integration course at a higher level than A1/1 (A1/1 = beginners without any German language skills) and consequently complete the German integration course package within a shorter period of time.
